Kees van Ittersum

Kees (Kase) van Ittersum has been with New Standard as part owner since its beginning. He specializes in barn design and has been involved in Electronic Sow Feeding since 1995. Kees was raised on a dairy farm in Holland, has a bachelor degree in Agriculture, and served in the Dutch army where he learned how to manage people at all levels of an organization through officers’ training. In 1995 he became CEO for a company specializing in pig equipment which manufactures and sells in Europe and Asia. In 1999 he purchased the company. He opened the sales office for CAWI Canada Ltd. in Calgary, Alberta in 2002. Kees currently resides outside Calgary, AB with his wife and two sons. In 2014, Kees combined his Alberta companies into New Standard West Equipment and brought another addition to New Standard Group

A Brief History of Nedap Electronic Sow Feeding

Due to both consumer pressures and the need for improved barn efficiency and reduced feed costs, pork producers in North America are moving towards Electronic Sow Feeding in hog barns.
